“It has now been 16 weeks since I adopted solo boar Cashew and 8 weeks since I bonded him with my herd of five sows. I had heard from numerous people that adding a ‘husband’ to a group of girls calms them all down, however Cashew has added nothing but chaos to my herd of cheeky and naughty pigs.
He has settled in really well but especially with Willow and Stoffie, I often find him being groomed by Willow or sharing an igloo with Stoffie.
I could not recommend Rebecca of Wheekwood Sanctuary enough for all of her help, with adopting Cashew, to his neutering, recovery and the bonding. I now have a very happy herd of six pigs, who bring me nothing but joy to see their little personalities shining through every day.”
